Patty Bills is my guest blogger this week and shares her 17 years of experience as a shaklee products user with her first blog! 
  You know.for years I thought I was healthy. I think many of us think of “healthy” as the absence of obvious disease or illness. About 19 years ago at the age of 31, I discovered how untrue that was!  

It was then that a friend of mine, Heidi, introduced me to a health & wellness company called Shaklee.   As much as she tried to persuade me to try their vitamins, I let the information go in one ear and out the other!  “I don’t need vitamins”….”I’m  healthy”…. “I feel great”….I would say to myself!  It wasn’t till about 6 months later I happen to mention to her that I really needed to find some skincare products to start using on my face (I think every woman starts thinking about those things in their 30’s!).   Heidi immediately mentioned how her upline Shaklee person would be happy to give me a free facial using their skincare line. 

Here’s the funny thing…..I only said “Yes” out of pure guilt!  Heidi had not been pushy at all during those 6 months, but I just had always found an excuse not to give their products a try on the occasions that she had mentioned them. Anyway….going for that facial was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. 

The line was great….the woman had a cassette tape informational program with which you could earn credit towards products and I figured….”Hey…free is good!”  I learned a lot from those cassettes…..enough to “dip my toe in” and give their multi-vitamin and their Alfalfa a try. 

Within 10 days of starting on the multi….I stopped falling asleep on the couch at 8:30/9:00 and started staying awake with my husband till 11:00/11:30 and slept better than ever.  I also noticed my sinuses clear up immensely from the Alfalfa.  No more snoring for me and when allergy season arrived….no symptoms…. Interesting thing is…like I said before…19 years ago, I would have bet money that I was “healthy” and didn’t need vitamins.   Believe it or not….the list above were all the symptoms I had BEFORE starting on Shaklee, which vanished within 2 years on their products! 

What people need to realize is that symptoms are just your body’s way of saying...”help...something’s not right”.  For example...most people “cure” their cold feet by wearing socks to bed! Well that would be like thinking you could fix a low-oil problem in your car by putting a band-aid over the lit-up oil light.   Socks just mask the symptom...but that symptom is a classic sign of bad circulation, which left untreated, leads to more serious problems as years go by.
